The pilot and introduction to the series. Rachel sent out a job interview, looking for an employee
to help around the store and Max wanted to take the job. Rachel and Max proceed with the
interview and Max gets the job. Rachel asks Max to come back tomorrow to give them a proper
tour of the store.

It is Max's first day on the job and it is a busy day. A young mage, Ember, comes to Rachel’s
store to find and make their own wizard wand. Not having the right materials, Max suggests that
Rachel and Ember gather some materials while Max and Sebastian handle the customers. Later,
Rachel and Ember return to the store to help Max.

One of the professors, Mr. Erlin, from the academy, visits Rachel’s store. Mr. Erlin sets an
elaborate trial for Rachel and Max to test their skills. Rachel and Max are successful and Mr.
Erlin congratulates them both. Rachel and Mr. Erlin catch up one last time before he leaves for
the academy.

Max arrives back at the store for their official first day on the job. Rachel and Sebastain give
Max a tour of their store, which is larger and complex than it seems. After the tour is over, Max
is nervous about their first day but Rachel comforts them.

Rachel and Ember leave the store to Sebastian and Max while they go out shopping for
materials. However, at the store, Rachel bumps into an old and annoying frenemy, Morgan.
Morgan talks to her old friend as Rachel and Ember try to leave the store as soon as possible.
Eventually, Rachel and Ember manage to give Morgan the slip, leave the store, and make their
wand.
